We love hosting company! From the first
night we’ve moved in we’ve been blessed to share weekends with friends and
family at our house. So, naturally this makes our guest bedroom a really important
space! One of the things that drew us to this home in particular was that the
downstairs guest bedroom is actually a second master bedroom. It smaller than
our upstairs master, but it has a bedroom, full bath, linen closet, and large
walk in closet all together making it a comfortable space for guests. We use
part of the closet to hang extra table linens and store some items that have no
other home but otherwise it’s all for our guests!
We’ve slowly but surely been marking
projects in this room off our list. Next up will be paint and organizing the
linen closet with baskets but for now I’m really pleased with this space. We
have two different bedding sets for the queen size bed. The newest set is a
navy elephant print from Pottery Barn (I bought this set about a month ago on sale. It's no longer available online but some stores still have it in the sale section!), which I’m loving right now! We want to
eventually paint the wall behind the bed a navy color and get navy drapes hung
so I think it will all tie in quite nicely. Our other bedding set is also from
Pottery Barn in their PB Essentials collection. We have the white duvet with
the flax linen diamond quilt. I use the quilt with both sets of bedding. For
the elephant bedding I use it under the duvet and for the white bedding it goes
over to add some more color. Both sets will look great adding in some more navy
to the room.
The bed was my bed in high school, which
we bought from Pier One Imports and the side tables came with our coffee table
from Living Spaces a few months ago. We weren’t planning to use them in this
room but I think they go nicely and of course offer great functionality!
I love your bedding!!!!
